INTRODUCTION

·       JEE Advanced is the second phase of JEE, a national-level engineering entrance examination

·       The engineering entrance exam will be conducted by one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).

·       Either one of the seven Zonal Co-ordinating IITs, i.e., IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Roorkee, will be the conducting authority for JEE Advanced 2023.

·       Top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced 2023 exam.

·       JEE Advanced exam will be conducted in a centre-based online mode. 

·       There will be two mandatory papers, i.e., Paper-I and Paper-II, in JEE Advanced exam. The exam duration for each of these JEE Advanced papers is 3 hours. 

·       The decisions of JAB will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) and admission to IITs for the academic year 2023-24.

·       Candidates seeking admissions in 23 IITs to pursue UG courses such as BTech, BArch, BS, etc., will have to crack the JEE Advanced exam. The JEE Advanced 2023 exam date has not been announced yet; however, it is expected to be conducted in the third week of June 2023. The application form for JEE Advanced 2023 is expected to be released in May 2023.

 

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility Criteria 

  • Nationality: All Indian nationals (including OCI/ PIO) are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2023. Foreign candidates will be eligible under 10% of the supernumerary seat quota.

 

  • Age Limit:  The candidates from the General and OBC categories must have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years relaxation in age limit is provided for SC/ST/PwD candidates; they must have been born on or after October 1, 1993.

 

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the class 12th examination or its equivalent for the first time in the year 2022 or 2023.

 

  • Subject: Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) as the mandatory subject in Class 12th.

 

  • Minimum Percentage: The 75 % criteria in class 12th/equivalent exam have been relaxed to be eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam.

 

 

  • Number of Attempts: A candidate can give JEE Advanced exam only two times in two consecutive years.

 

  • JEE Main Performance: The candidates must be among the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualified candidates to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2023. 

 

JEE Advanced Application Form 2023

Ø  Candidates can fill out the online on the official website, i.e., www.jeeadv.ac.in

 

Ø  The eligible candidates have to register and fill out the application form by entering personal, academic and other details in the required fields.  

 

Ø  After successfully completing the registration process, the candidates will have to upload relevant documents and fill in the details asked in the online form.

 

Ø  Thereafter, candidates are required to pay the application fee for the exam.

  • Go to the official website.
  • Login with JEE Main Roll Number and Password.
  • On the new page, fill in your personal and academic information, exam cities, etc.
  • Upload all the necessary documents.
  • Proceed to pay the JEE Advanced exam registration fee.

How to Register for JEE Advanced 2023?

To register, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps:

 

·       Visit the JEE Advanced official website( www.jeeadv.ac.in )and login with the credentials (JEE Main 2023 Roll Number, Password and Security Pin). Once done, click on the submit button. You will then be asked to choose a new password. 

 

·       You will then be required to fill in details asked along with the number of attempts. Then choose the three examination cities as per your preference.  

 

·       Select the JEE Advanced language of the question paper (English or Hindi). Check all details carefully before submitting and then submit it.

 

 JEE Advanced 2023 Registration- List of Documents Required 

Ø  10th class certificate or birth certificate.

Ø  12th or equivalent exam certificates.

Ø  Category, PwD or DS certificate (if applicable).

Ø  Scribe letter (if applicable).

Ø  PIO card or OCI certificate (if required).

  

JEE Advanced Application Form – Important Instructions

Ø  JEE Advanced 2023 Application form can be filled only via online mode.

Ø  Aspirants must check their eligibility before filling the JEE Advanced 2023 Application form. If the eligibility conditions are not matched, the application form may be rejected or cancelled later.

Ø  Candidates must fill in all the details correctly, especially the mobile number and email ID, as all the information will come on mobile and email only.

Ø  Candidates must choose the nearest exam centre to avoid unnecessary confusion during the last minute of starting the JEE Advanced Exam.

Ø  An incomplete application will be rejected.

Ø  Sufficient time will be provided to the candidates for correction and editing their JEE Advanced 2023 Application form.

Ø  Candidates must keep printouts of payment receipts and complete the application form for future references.

 

How to Fill the Application Form of JEE Advanced?

Ø  The candidate must visit the JEE Advanced main website. (www.jeeadv.ac.in)

Ø  Then you need to register your mobile number and email ID. Make sure you put the correct mobile number and email ID, as this will remain the same till you complete all the stages in JEE Advanced 2023 exam.

Ø  Verify your mobile number and email ID by the links sent to your mobile and email ID, respectively.

Ø  After the verification is done, the candidate must log in on the JEE Advanced portal.

Ø  Click on the application form button and proceed with the JEE Advanced 2023 Application form.

Ø  Fill in all the details correctly. Revise the details before the final submission.

Ø  After filling in all the details, the candidate is directed to the payment window.

Ø  Choose the mode of payment, i.e., online or offline.

Ø  Make the payment and keep the payment receipt safely for future purposes.

Ø  After successful payment, the complete application form is displayed on the screen.

Ø  The aspirants must keep a printout of this application form as it will be needed for future references.

Ø  In any case, candidates must not miss their roll number and application number. If missed, contact the JEE Advanced authorities.

JEE Advanced 2023 Application form – Documents required

·       Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. ( www.jeeadv.ac.in)

·       JEE Advanced 2023 admit card includes details such as exam date, exam time, exam centre address, candidate’s name, date of birth, category, roll number, etc. 

·       Candidates must carry their JEE Advanced admit card to the allotted exam centre along with a Govt. approved photo id proof. If a candidate fails to carry the admit card, then he/she will not be permitted to sit in the exam.

 Steps to download the JEE Advanced admit card:

Ø  Go to the JEE Advanced official website. (www.jeeadv.ac.in)

Ø  Search and click on the ‘Download JEE Advanced 2023 Admit Card’ link

Ø  Log in to the candidate portal with the registration number and password credentials.

Ø  JEE Advanced Hall ticket 2023 will be displayed.

Ø  Verify all the details mentioned on the admit card.

Ø  After checking all the details, download and take a printout for future reference.

JEE Advanced Exam Syllabus 2023

Ø  JEE Advanced syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Maths is generally declared by the examination authority. The syllabus of JEE Advanced is usually vast, and students are advised to start their preparations as early as possible.

JEE Advanced 2023 Exam Pattern

The questions asked in the JEE Advanced paper are pretty tough and tricky.

The exam is further designed to judge theoretical knowledge and the students’ reasoning ability, comprehension skills and analytical power.

 

Candidates have to use the mouse to click on the right option as the answer.

Ø  As mentioned above, the exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. JEE Advanced Paper 1 and Paper 2 further constitute a total of 54 questions each.

Ø  The paper is also divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each having 18 questions.

Ø  In total, the exam is of 306 marks, where each paper carries a total of 183 marks.

Ø  The duration of each paper is 3 hours and is conducted in either Hindi or English.

Ø  On exam day, paper 1 usually begins at 9:00 am and goes on till 12:00 pm. Paper 2 is from 2:00 pm to 05:00 pm.

Answering Question:

  •         Procedure for answering a multiple-choice type question:

Ø  To select the option(s), click on the corresponding button(s) of the option(s).

Ø  To deselect the chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the “Clear Response” button.

Ø  To save the answer, the candidate MUST click on the “Save & Next” button.

Ø  To mark the question for review (with or without answering it), click on the “Mark for Review & Next” button.

 

·       Procedure for answering questions that require inputs from on-screen virtual keyboard (numeric or otherwise):

Ø  A virtual keyboard will appear on the screen just below the question statement of these types of questions. The candidate needs to use the on-screen virtual keyboard to enter the answer in the required space with the help of the provided computer mouse. 

Ø  The answer can be changed, if required, at any time during the test. To save the answer, the candidate MUST click on the “Save & Next” button.

Ø  To mark the question for review (without answering it), click on the “Mark for Review & Next” button.

JEE Advanced Answer Key 2023

Ø  The concerned authorities will release the answer key of JEE Advanced 2023 for both Paper 1 and 2 on the official website

Ø  A provisional answer key will be released first so that candidates can raise objections to any discrepancy found in the answer key.

Ø  After resolving all the objections, the authorities will release the final answer key along with JEE advanced result. 

JEE Advanced Result 2023

Ø  Candidates can check the result of JEE Advanced 2023 on the official website by entering their roll number, date of birth, and phone number.

Ø  The candidates who have qualified for the exam will receive a text message on the registered mobile number. No result/scorecard will be sent via post/email.

Ø  The ranks secured by candidates in JEE Advanced 2023 will be the basis of admission to IITs.

JEE Advanced 2023 Cut Off

Ø  The cut-off of JEE Advanced 2023 is the minimum score required to qualify for the exam.

Ø  After the declaration of the result, the authority will release the cut-off on the official website. The separate cut-offs will be released for different categories. The counselling process for JEE advanced 2023 will be conducted on the basis of JEE Advanced cut-off marks.
